A creative meeting with artists, authors of works presented at the exhibition “Harmony of Architecture”, took place on December 16, 2020.

The exhibition was the result of an artistic plein air, which took place from 14 to 17 July, 2020 at the walls of the old castle, was timed to coincide with the 20th anniversary of the inclusion of Mir Castle on the UNESCO World Cultural and Natural Heritage List. The organizer was the Mir Castle Complex Museum. The creative process was supervised by the chairman of the “Graphics” section of the Belarusian Union of Artists, associate professor of the department of drawing of the Belarusian State Academy of Arts Igor Gordiyonok. Among the plein-air participants there were novice artists Anna Plotnikova and Maria Kryuchkova, young but already well-known in Belarus and abroad Olga Bychko, Yulia Matsuro, Sofia Piskun, Pavel Kondrusevich; artists-teachers of the Belarusian Academy of Arts Sergey Shemet and of the Gymnasium-College of Arts named after I. O. Akhremchik Philip Basalyga, Olga Gordiyonok-Kireeva, Victoria Demeshko; former gimnasium graduate, and now the chairman of the Belarusian Union of Artists Gleb Otchik; the chief artist of the Belarusian State Academic Musical Theatre Andrey Merenkov, poetess and artist Natalya Aleinikova, restorer of monumental and easel painting of the creative workshop “Bastalia” Andrey Kolga. All of them are active participants in various exhibitions and plein airs. Their works are in collections and galleries in Belarus, Germany, Czech Republic, Belgium, Austria, Italy, Russia, and other countries. Igor Gordiyonok noted that for every Belarusian Mir Castle is an eternal source of inspiration and research. Its majestic, monumental architectural forms tell the story of our dramatic history.

The exhibition “Harmony of Architecture” will be open until December 31, 2020.
