On December 16, 2020 a festive event was held in the Portrait Hall of Mir Castle, timed to coincide with the 20th anniversary of the inclusion of the Mir Castle Complex in the UNESCO World Cultural and Natural Heritage List and the 10th anniversary of the opening of the main museum exposition.

This day, on December 2, 2000, Mir Castle Complex was included in the UNESCO World Cultural and Natural Heritage List at a meeting of the World Heritage Committee in Cairns (Australia). The architectural complex was the first cultural object to be recognized as unique in Belarus. Thanks to this it became recognizable outside our country.

Since October 29, in the church-tomb of the Svyatopolk-Mirskys an icon of St. Nicholas the Wonderworker has been presented from the private collection of Mikhail Feofanov.

The unknown author who created this icon belonged to the artistic culture of the Arkhangelsk Pomorje in the middle of the 19th century.

On September 25, in the presence of honored guests, the exhibition “Symbols of Time. Divine and mundane in the works of Georgy Skripnichenko", dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the artist's birth, took place in Mir Castle.
