Thematic excursions
During a tour on the second floor of the Northern Building, visitors will get acquainted with the stages of construction of Mir Castle, learn about the life of its owners: the Ilyiniches, the Radziwills, the Wittgensteins, the Svyatopolk-Mirskys.
During the tour, visitors will get acquainted with the construction stages and defensive features of Mir Castle. A tour of the expositions of the South-West and Entrance Towers will allow you to study the system of planning and organizing the battle on all tiers. Going down to the prison basement, visitors will be able to imagine the conditions of the prisoners who served their sentences there.
The audience will find a fascinating story about the main architectural objects of the complex: Mir Castle and the church-burial vault of the Svyatopolk-Mirsky princes. In the courtyard, visitors will get acquainted with the stages of construction of Mir Castle and learn about its owners. A tour of the expositions of the South-West Tower will allow you to study the planning and organization of the battle. Going down to the prison basement, you can imagine the conditions in which the prisoners were serving their sentences. The final object of the exhibition will be the church-tomb of the last owners of the castle, located in the territory of the English landscape park.
During a tour of the expositions of the Northeast Tower, you can learn about the events which happened in Mir during the two World Wars, as well as about the tragedy of the Jewish population during the Holocaust.
Thematic tour of the township
"Mir: Past and Present"
During the excursion, you can learn the history of the township and the peculiarities of the way of life of its inhabitants for six centuries. Particular attention will be paid to the architectural objects in Mir: St. Nicolay Church, Holy Trinity Church, the synagogue courtyard ensemble, Zaslavsky chapel, buildings on the Market Square.
"WALK AROUND THE CASTLE"
During the excursion tourists will get acquainted with the peculiarities of architecture of Mir Castle and learn about its multitasking, walk on authentic winding staircases of defensive towers and fighting gallery. Visitors learn more about the lives of the castle owners over the centuries in the Northern part of the castle.
