"But butterflies don't fly here anymore"

On May 2, 2024, a banner exhibition "But butterflies don't fly here anymore" was opened in the Kazan Kremlin Museum-Reserve as part of the celebration of Victory in the Great Patriotic War. This is a joint exhibition project of the State Budgetary Institution "State Historical, Architectural and Art Museum-Reserve "Kazan Kremlin" and the Institution "Museum "Castle complex "Mir".
The banner exhibition is dedicated to the theme of the Holocaust during World War II, and the ghetto located on the territory of Belarus in the Mir Castle. At the exhibition, you can see pictures of those times and read the stories of participants in these terrible events.
Sarah Lander is one of the few ghetto prisoners lucky enough to survive. In the future, her fate and life will be closely connected with Kazan.
