"Spiritual Origins of Small Homeland" Exhibition
On March 23 "Spiritual Origins of Small Homeland" exhibition was opened in Mir Castle in the framework of Orthodox Book Day dedicated to the memorable date of release of the first exactly dated printed book in Russia by Deacon Ivan Fedorov, which was published on March 14 in 1564. Religious books and church utensils that were handed over from the churches of Mir parish is presented at the exhibition. It is divided into four thematic blocks: "The altar part", "Through book to spirituality", "The Sacrament of wedding" and works by V. Rusetsky in the technique of marquetry "The Orthodox churches of Belarus". The paintings created in different years reflect the artist's vision of the church as an architectural monument with its spiritual content.
The exhibition will last until April 23 inclusive. Admission is free.
