The Mir Castle Complex Museum became the founder of the Grand Prix of the Kolozhsky Blagovest Festival
XVII International Festival of Orthodox Chants "Kolozhsky Blagovest" was held in Grodno from 7 to 10 February. It was attended by 35 teams from Belarus, Russia, Ukraine, Poland, Romania and Uzbekistan, for the first time church choirs from Macedonia and Montenegro performed in Grodno.
"Kolozhsky Blagovest" began as a competition of parochial collectives. Today it is already an authoritative and open platform of international level. Annually, about 500 participants gather for the largest festival of Orthodox hymns in the CIS.
The Mir Castle Complex Museum became the founder of the Grand Prix of the 17th Festival. Choir of Dnepropetrovsk Academy of Music named after Mikhail Glinka (Dnipro, Ukraine, artistic director - Julia Ivanova) was recognized as the best.
